Paul Williams... Empty
PostSubject: Paul Williams...   Paul Williams... EmptyWed May 28, 2008 10:01 pm

has been a bright spot throughout OTA's this offseason. He seems to have more confidence about him under Mike Heimerdinger, and as he told me in the locker room, he's able to simply ''just get open'' instead of running to a specific spot and rely on his route running to get open. Although he's not on the 2nd team depth chart -- yet -- he has worked a lot with Collins during practice while Roydell Williams remains sidelined with an ankle.

Look for Paul Williams to impress come training camp. His length is his biggest asset -- Young's not that accurate and Williams helps him by being long, reaching out of the target zone to grab passes.

For more, see the article on the front page.

Good to hear about Williams. Speaking of Young... Pat Kirwan of NFL was asked by a caller what type of guy he thought Matt Ryan was. Kirwan replied that Ryan was a guy that wasn't going to say " I felt like retiring ". That being said... Young needs to get his mind right, because that drama, pouting thing that he was doing after every passing play... isn't going to fly with Heimerdinger. Have you heard anything about Young's approach, attitude, mid-set.. ect.

I think Paul Williams could be a player in this league. He is 6'1" 205lbs and he can run. He seems to be very focused and we all know that he wants the chance to showcase his skills. The "I want the ball" attitude is somewhat important for a wide receiver.

On Vince. I think his mind is in the right place now. The only question I have is will it stay there. What it showed us is that his poor year in 2007 is now placed squarely on his back. No more Norm Chow this or our wide receivers that.

Vince is overly dramatic about almost everything. How serious a look can a man take with $25 million riding? His momma would be after him with the belt again.

I have faith in our young quarterback. If he has thrown 1 TD and 4 picks in the first few weeks, my attitude may change very fast. I think we have the defense that can line up with any offense in the league but if our offense is giving the ball away we have no chance.

TitanPride,

VY's comments surprised me. He's been very committed this offseason from the practices I've watched.
