I know a lot of Titans fans out there are really tired of talking about this, but I think what the bears just did really helps our Team a great deal in regards to helping get Albert Haynesworth locked up and onto the practice field. The Bears signed Tommie Harris to a four-year extension through 2012 worth approximately $40 million. Harris is a THREE time Pro-Bowler and deserves to be paid like one. By not locking him in to a 6 year deal, the club is spending more, but can opt out after the 2nd year and controls lots of options on the contract. I could totally see the Titans signing a similar deal with Albert... maybe a 4 year $38 million contract with a no-trade clause would work. We have the money and honestly we could use a "set piece" on the D line... Certainly his character issues (the one or two incidents on the field) would make any front office hesitant to invest that kind of dough, but a guy like that will get $40+ in the free agent market. This would be a great time for the Titans to make a move that makes everyone happy...
