Why should the titans continue to persue this guy? It seems to me that all of this energy could go towards aquiring someone that wants to play here!!!!!! In my opinion hes not worth the hassle! maybe if the played an entire season or was 100% healthy(oh wait has he ever been 100%?)or even if he just plain wanted to play.I may catch a kleet to the head but i think he is a jerk!!! worry about the left guard position and let this dude watch the season from home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see any deal getting done and it looks like Big Al Haynesworth may be shopping himself to other teams sooner than later.

He'll sign, with the intent of not getting tagged next year. I wouldn't be worried right now... everyone will consider this a "second" contract year and allows more time on both sides. That all being said... I'm not G.M, but I would assume you wouldn't want your key players to get into the last year of their contract.

I have always been optomistic that a deal will get done but it really depends on the player as well. Albert Haynesworth will hold a grudge. We have so much money to play with it is almost ridiculous. I would love to see him get signed to a long term deal but I am just not sure it is going to happen.

On another note.... I hate the franchise tag!

I'm kinda stummped also... this would be a great time to resign him to a long-term deal. I'm assuming there's more to it we're not aware of. I will say this... it will be cheaper to extend his contract this year, than next year.

Here we go again! Before you haters start judging Haynesworth, think about just how bad the Titans got SMOKED in the games he was injured in last season. Bottom line is whether you personally like him or not, Big Al IS a difference maker! Every O-line has to account for him, which will free up guys like Bullock, KVB, and Freak to get to the QB or RB. I think this is another story of the ongoing saga of the Titans front office being CHEAP! Hell, it's not like they're blowing up the salary cap or something! It makes me wonder if the city of Houston isn't secretly saying, "We told you so" about Bud Adams!

well lets see i think albert is a great player. After the incident lol. and im not gonna blame him i hate the cowboys just as much as he does. But am i sure he wants to stay in tn? not so sure about that and the reason is this. 4 some reason every time we offer he can somehow not come to terms with him. I think maybe he thinks hes worth more than 7 mill but maybe its not just him. Maybe its the titans. And if i know anything the titans are some cheap people. They are always shopping for deals. So maybe its not just him but it maybe the titans. I mean like i said before we cant pull the trigger in the first round with a wr so i cant blame them for not wanting to pay more to keep a pro bowl d-linemen.
